Since the early 1990s, Eric Mouquet has developed a unique musical universe blending electronic music, world cultures and cinematic atmospheres into a timeless and instantly recognizable sound.

As the founder and creative force behind Deep Forest, he pioneered a new form of electronic/world fusion, combining ethnic voices, ambient textures and modern production long before the genre became global.

Deep Forest achieved worldwide success with the release of the iconic album Deep Forest in 1992, featuring the international hit “Sweet Lullaby”. The project went on to sell millions of albums worldwide and received multiple Grammy nominations, winning the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album with Boheme.

Over the years, Eric Mouquet has collaborated with musicians, singers and traditional artists from many cultures around the world, continuously exploring new sonic landscapes while preserving a strong artistic identity.

Today, Deep Forest continues as Eric Mouquet’s personal and evolving musical journey — combining organic instruments, electronic sound design, modular synthesis and immersive atmospheres into contemporary productions, live performances and multimedia experiences.
